Grace and Grit:
Health and Healing Thru
Horse-Human
Partnerships
is a comprehensive horsemanship and wellness program focusing on the physical and mental well-being of all participants. Using the most current science and evidence-based principles, all aspects of horse and human wellness are considered as the very best of life skills are instilled in both horse and human participants.
Grace and Grit: Health and Healing is operating at a full service horse facility located in Erskine, Minnesota on 40 acres of open and shaded paddocks adjacent to scenic Union Lake Sarah in Erskine, Minnesota. Facilities include an indoor ring and indoor round pen, fields and trails, box stalls, and run-in pens. We meet you where you are. The Grace and Grit philosophy includes the knowledge that there are many ways to include all the great things horses bring into our lives, and we are here to help you find that one that best fits your needs.
Emphasis is on horse-friendly colt starting and on-going training that produces trusting, confident, sound horses.
Our unique lesson program includes an equine science component that promotes an understanding of the pros and cons of different management and training techniques.
Please continue to look through our in-progress web site for more detailed information about this innovative and unique nonprofit. Check our Facebook and Instagram (@graceandgrit2023) pages for recent activities and opportunities.

One of our greatest freedoms is how we react to things
Charlie Mackesy

My daughter has been in horseback riding lessons in this program for over a year.
I have seen growth in her horse knowledge comprehension grow steadily the entire time
she has been in lessons. Her socio-emotional
skills, her tenacity and bravery, and her confidence have continued to grow, I believe, as a result of her participation
in this program.
---Melinda Anderson, Erskine, MN
After looking a several horses closer to where I live, I journeyed to ~six hours to Erskine to see this program first hand and meet 'Roger', ("Positively Praire', 2009 AQHA bay gelding) to see if my instincts were right. Everything I'd read on the website rang true. Cheryl's passion for horses and her sensitivity to training captured my heart. Then I met 'Roger' and he was everything Cheryl told me he'd be. Needless to say, 'Roger' is now a permanent part of my life and I couldn't be happier. I know I have the best, beautiful bay and without a doubt this program will always be an instrumental part of our lives. What a happy moment for me when my search for a horse led me to Erskine, MN. ---Sue Miller Horman, Rogers, MN sending a note about her experience with Roger after their first year together. Roger and Sue have been together now for nine years.

The fresh air, hard work and time with horses always brings her home w
a smile on her face. Always. She’s never had a bad day at the barn.
